Baldi

Situated 4 km away from La Fortuna's centre, the Baldi resort has 10 thermal pools flowing from a natural spring, ranging from 32 to 62 degrees. With the right weather, sometimes you can sit in the middle pool and see the lava from Volcan Arenal. There are three reasonably priced swim-up bars and a new waterslide. You must leave a 10US$ returnable deposit for towels. Collect these from the luggage storage next to the bathroom/changing rooms, where you can leave your things for free, or rent a locker for 5US$.

Tabacon Resort

Tabacon is found 10 km away from La Fortuna on the northwest side of the Volcano. This resort has walks, bars, restaurant and 12 pools. The pools water temperature ranges from 27º C to 42º C and flow through a natural rainforest setting complete with waterfalls. You can also have spa treatments at extra cost. Volcanic Mud Mask, Minifacial, Deep Tissue Massage, Volcanic Stone Massage, Manicure, Pedicure, Volcanic Body Wrap, Reflexology.
