Turibus

If the idea of getting around using public transport sounds daunting, or you don't have very long for sightseeing, then take advantage of the Turibus hop-on hop-off system. These red double-decker buses pass close to many of the sites every half hour, everyday (except Christmas and New Years day) from 9 am to 9 pm. Some of the more popular spots to board are outside the Cathedral in the Zócalo or outside Metro stop Auditorio.

The bus will take you around the historic centre, via Paseo de la Reforma, by Chapultepec Park and the Anthropolgy Museum, and through the neighborhoods of Condesa and Polanco. You are provided with head-phones which will provide you with an English commentary of the buildings and sites you are passing. The loop will take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Purchase the all-day pass when you board the bus ($120 pesos), or if you want to take your time buy a 2 or 3 day pass.
